
\Juniors Win Second Home Game in as Many Days

Verdun Auditorium, September 25th 2010 - The Montreal Juniors faced off against the Val d'Or Foreurs Saturday afternoon at the Verdun Auditorium. The Juniors triumphed over the Seadogs with a final score of X-X, giving them a current record of 2-1-2-0.
Montreal opened the scoring in the first period with a goal by Michael Clarke, followed by another goal at 7:39 by Janos Hari, his first goal of the regular season, leading the Juniors to a two point lead.
7 minutes into the second, Trevor Parkes scored on the power play, the only goal of the period, assisted by center Jeremy Gouchie and defenseman Francis Meilleur.
Thirty seconds into the third period, Francis Meilleur score, giving a four point lead to the Montreal Team. Olivier Archambault scored the only goal of the Foreurs only five minutes later at 5:31, followed not long after by a fifth goal for the Juniors, scored by Philippe Lefebvre, his fifth goal of the season.
The Juniors led the game in scoring, with a total 48 shots on net, while Val d'Or trailed behind with only 12 shots. Goalie Jacob Chouinard started in nets for the Foreurs, allowing one of 8 shots, but was replaced by Franois Tremblay late in the first. Then in the third after allowing another goal to Montreal Chouinard came back to finish game. Juniors' goalie tienne Marcoux allowed 2 of 12 shots, securing the win for the Montreal team.
The Juniors will be playing again on home ice on October 1st at 7:05pm and October 3rd at 3:05pm, at the Verdun Auditorium when they face off against the Chicoutimi Saguenens and the Victoriaville Tigers.
