
Juniors triumph over the Saint-John Seadogs

Verdun Auditorium - The Montreal Juniors faced off against the Saint-John Seadogs Friday night at the Verdun Auditorium. The Juniors triumphed over the Seadogs with a final score of 4-1, giving them a current record of 2-1-2-0.
Montreal opened the scoring in the first period with a goal by right winger David Rose, followed by another goal at 13:30 by Trevor Parkes, his first goal of the regular season. With less than a minute remaining, Steven Anthony scored for the Seadogs, assisted by center Michael Kirkpatrick.
7 minutes into the second period, Jean-Christophe Laflamme scored his first goal of the season, assisted by defenseman Xavier Ouellet, marking his third assist of the night.
Philippe Fontaine of the Juniors scored the only goal in the third period assisted by center Denis Kindle and right winger David Rose, leading the Juniors to a three point lead over their adversaries.
Goalie Karel St-Laurent of the Seadogs allowed four of 36 shots, while the Juniors' goalie Ãtienne Marcoux allowed only one of 25 shots, securing the win for the Montreal team.
The Juniors will be playing again at home on Saturday, September 25th against the Val d'Or Foreurs, and again on October 1st and October 3rd, at the Verdun Auditorium when they face off against the Chicoutimi Saguenéens and the Victoriaville Tigers.
