Juniors Top Shawinigan

The Montreal Juniors faced the Shawinigan Cataractes again, Sunday, in their second exhibition games. After losing 5-2 against Shawinigan on Friday, the Juniors won their second pre-season game, 4-3.

The Juniors began the first period with energy. Spencer MacDonald and Eliezer Sherbatov found the back of the net for the Juniors. During the second frame, Yannick Veilleux reduced the mark to 2-1. Shortly after, Guillaume Asselin scored his first goal of the pre-season on a power play for a 3-1 lead. At the end of the second, Shawinigan's Nicolas Larocque Marcoux scored. After this unaswered goal, Shawinigan's Dominik Schlumpf tied the game at 0:39 in the third. During the middle of the third period, forward Jérémy Gouchie gave his team the win.

The Montreal Juniors now come back home for a game at the Bob-Birnie arena of Pointe-Claire on Friday August 28 at 19:35, against the Gatineau Olympics who they will meet again the following day, August 29th, in Valleyfield.
