Montreal, Quebec - The Montreal Juniors rallied back from an early 3-0 deficit to defeat the Val d'Or Foreurs 6-4 Saturday afternoon at the Verdun Auditorium.
Montreal was paced with two goal performances from Trevor Parkes and newly acquired Viktor Hertzberg. Jonathan Narbonne scored the game winner and Jeremy Gouchie finished off the Montreal scoring with an empty net goal with fifteen seconds remaining in the third period.
Val d'Or was paced by Nicolas Larocque-Marcoux whose natural hat trick gave the visitors it's early 3-0 lead. Val d'Or's fourth goal came from Jonathan Hazen.
Etienne Marcoux stopped 16 of 18 shots he faced from Val d'Or after replacing started J-F Berube mid-way through the first period. Jacob Gervais-Chouinard made 22 saves on 27 shots in a losing cause.
NOTES: This was Montreal's first home game of 2011. They continue the homestand with a game tomorrow when they host the Gatineau Olympique at 3:05pm at the Verdun Auditorium. The game also marked the return of Louis Leblanc to the lineup after his return from the World Junior Championships.
