
Juniors Fall to Huskies, 4-3

Montreal - The Juniors hosted their divisional rivals, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, this afternoon. The tightly-fought match was won by the Huskies, led by Sergey Ostapchuk, who scored the game winner in the 4 to 3 victory.
The Huskies jumped out to the early lead when Steven Delisle scored at 6:32. Yet the Juniors took the lead midway through the first as they got two power play goals from Louis-Marc Aubry and Jeremy Gouchie. Huskies' forward Jordan Caron tied it for Rouyn-Noranda before heading to the second period.
In the second period, the Juniors regained the lead as Gouchie scored his second of the night at 3:36. Jerome Gauthier-Leduc countered for the Huskies on the power play at 10:07.
This tied game was decided in the third when Huskies forward Sergey Ostapchuk fired the puck in the net for the game winner, his eighteenth of the year, at 17:09.
Juniors' netminder Jean-Francois Bérubé denied 22/26 shots in the loss. Huskies' goaltender Nicolas Champion made 19/22 stops in the win. The Juniors are now at 25-25-1-3 while the Huskies are 34-20-2-3.
Up next, the Chicoutimi Sagueneens will visit Montreal on Wednesday at 7:35 p.m. The Victoriaville Tigers will be at the Auditorium this Friday, also at 7:35, while the Juniors will host the Gatineau Olympiques Sunday, February 21, at 4:05 p.m.
