Sioux Falls at Wichita (Postponed - Rain)

@ Wichita, KS.

The game scheduled between Sioux Falls and Wichita was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, July 16 at 5:05 PM in Wichita, KS. Both games will be scheduled for seven innings.

Fort Worth 6, St. Paul 4

@ Fort Worth, TX. Time: 2:34 Attendance: 2,690 W: Jae Jung (4-1) L: Mitch Wylie (5-5) S: Gary Lee (4) HR: FW-Cameron Blair (1)

The Fort Worth Cats got a great outing from starting pitcher Jae Jung and rolled to a win at home, improving their record to 5-3 in the second half. Jung allowed one earned run on four hits while striking out four in seven innings of work to earn the win and improve to 4-1 on the season. Leading the way at the plate for Fort Worth was 3B Michael Bell who was 3-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and a RBI. SS Cameron Blair also had a good game at the plate for the Cats. Blair was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI.

Sioux City 4, Lincoln 3

@ Sioux City, IA. Time: 3:00 Attendance: 1,301 W: David Trahan (4-2) L: Matt Reilly (1-3) S: Brett Reid (15) HR: LS-Phillip Hawke (9)

Trailing 3-2 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Sioux City Explorers rallied for a pair of runs to take a 4-3 lead, and went on to win by that margin. Leading the way at the plate for Sioux City was 1B Jason Colson, who was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Seven different players for the Explorers recorded the team's seven hits. Sioux City reliever David Trahan came away with the win, his fourth. He fanned six batters in 2 1/3 scoreless innings. Explorers closer Brett Reid notched his 15th save after striking out the side in a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Shreveport-Bossier 4, Pensacola 1

@ Shreveport, LA. Time: 3:06 Attendance: 1,144 W: Jimmy Heard (4-0) L: Dane DeValk (3-2) S: Justin Dowdy (10) HR: None

The Pensacola Pelicans rallied from an early 1-0 deficit, scoring twice in the fifth and twice more in the seventh to come away with a 4-1 win. Captains starting pitcher Jimmy Heard went six innings, allowing the one run, to earn the win, his fourth of the season. Shreveport-Bossier closer Justin Dowdy tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his 10th save.
