Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks News Release
ODENTON, MD - The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (9-32-3-0, 21 pts) finish their road-series against the Maryland Black Bears (26-13-5-3, 60 pts) on Saturday night.
In Friday night's game, Maryland jumped out to an early lead, scoring four goals in the first period. Danbury responded with two goals from Gabe Dombrowski and Luka Sukovic in the first half of the second, but the comeback stalled after that.
Despite a few chances in the third period, Danbury was unable to solve Maryland goaltender Luca Di Pasquo in the final frame.
Hat Tricks goaltender Connor McDonough made his team debut on Friday night, allowing just one goal over just under 30 minutes in relief of Marino Ramirez.
Saturday will be the fourth of five-straight road games for Danbury. The Hat Tricks are in the midst of a stretch where they play eight-of-nine games on the road. Danbury will finish the season with six of its last nine at home in Danbury Ice Arena.
Saturday's puck-drop is at 7 p.m. and can be seen on HockeyTV.
