Tomahawks Fall Short to Generals Saturday

The Johnstown Tomahawks fell short to the Northeast Generals Saturday night, suffering a 2-1 loss on the road.

Northeast got on the board first in Saturday's game with a goal from Kyle Schroeder at the 10:54 mark in the opening period with a power play goal. Although the Tomahawks had four power play opportunities in the period, the Generals held the 1-0 lead going into

The Tomahawks go the equalizer in the 2nd period with a power play goal of their own from Holt Oliphant in the late stages of the 2nd period, sending the game into the final 20 minutes tied at 1.

The game came down to the wire in the 3rd period until Paul Minnehan gave Northeast the lead with 4:29 remaining in regulation, which would go on to be the game winning goal for the Northeast Generals to give them the edge for a 2-1 win Saturday night.
