
Jr. Blues Take Down Brown Bears

The Jr. Blues gained the early lead when Luke Radetic scored off the assist from Kyle Meeh at the 1:30 mark in the first period. Brady Tomlak then scored off assists from Meeh and Brennan Blaszczak to push the lead to 2-0. Kenai then scored back-to-back goals to tie the game up at 2-2. Springfield regained then lead when Brennan Blaszczak was able to find the back of the net unassisted to make the score 3-2. Kenai River would tie it up again until Trevor Stone gave the lead back to the Jr. Blues with a goal off assists from Brady Tomlak and Sam Craggs. Craggs then scored off assists from Stone and Tomlak to extend the lead to 5-3. The Brown Bears scored to cut the lead to 5-4 but then Stone scored again off assists from Tomlak and Stone to push the score to 6-4 which would be the game's final.
Tommy Nappier had 16 saves in the win.
The same two teams play again tomorrow night.
