The Jr. Blues get a 4-2 win against the Minnesota Magicians to get the sweep on the road.

The Jr. Blues jumped out to the 1-0 lead in the first period when Hunter Schneider scored off assists from Jeff Skinner and Zach Balodis at the 9:38 mark. The Magicians tied it up at one but then Ted Rotenberger scored off assists form Danny Digrande and Josh Bell at the 15:50 mark to give the Jr. Blues a 2-1 lead at the end of the first period. Both teams were held scoreless in the second period but Brennan Blaszczak scored an unassisted goal early on in the third period to extend the lead to 3-1. The Magicians then scored to cut the lead to 3-2. Brady Tomlak stifled any comeback with an empty net goal off an assist from Matt Long to give the game its final score of 4-2.

Tommy Nappier earned the win tonight with 42 saves on 44 shots.

The Jr. Blues are back at home on Tuesday to take on the Janesville Jets for Legal Professionals Night. $5 tickets at the door for members of the ISBA and SCBA. Springfield Airport Authority will be giving away two airline tickets and there will be $1 Coors Light Drafts courtesy of Robert Chick Fritz distributing.
