Jr. Blues Blow Two Two-Goal Leads vs. Fairbanks

The first month of the season is over, including 4 preseason home games and 8 regular season. The Jr. Blues have seen a lot of positives despite there 1-6-1 record. The team has been winning or tied in 4 of 7 games that they have not won. Heading into this weekend, the team will be getting back veteran Mitch Rogge and 1st round pick Nick Anderson for this weeks games who have missed a combine 11 games. The Jr. Blues are working hard and are confident they will be in the mix for the playoffs this season.

Jr. Blues Lose 3-2 on Friday Night

Fairbanks scores 3 unanswered goals

Brett Skibba (pictured right), scored the second goal of the night for the Jr. Blues, but it wouldn't hold up. The Jr. Blues jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period, but Fairbanks was able to chip away at the lead for the next 2 periods. Fairbanks would eventually gain a 3-2 lead and never look back. Matt Leon made 35 saves in net for the Jr. Blues.

Parker Johnson scored the first goal of the night on a rebound shot from James McGing, who was able to get a shot off from his knees. Jack Sloan also received an assist on the play. On the second goal of the night, newly acquired Simon Koscielski and Alex Baskakov assisted on a goal tipped by Skibba.

Jr. Blues Struggle to hold 3rd Period Lead

#10 Nate Chasteen Ice Dogs Score 4 Third Period Goals

For the second game in a row, the Jr. Blues jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead. Nate Chasteen, picture right, scored both goals. Chasteen scored the first goal on a nice pass from Mike Fazio, Jack Sloan received the second assist. Chasteen buried his second goal of the night 3 minutes later on a pass from Brett Skibba, Alex Baskakov received the second assist on the play.

Just like Friday night, Fairbanks chipped away at a 2-0 Jr. Blues lead. Fairbanks scored 4 third period goals and 3 in the final 10 minutes to steal the game from the Jr. Blues.

Jr. Blues Partner with County Market

County Market to Sell Single Game Tickets at All Locations

Tickets will be sold for $1 off the walk up price at games of $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets will go on sale at County Market on October 10th.

Jr. Blues Travel to Jamestown

Jr. Blues Take First East Coast Trip

This weekend marks the first road trip of the new season for the Jr. Blues. The team will play Friday night at 7 PM EST and 5 PM EST on Saturday. Both games will be available on Fast Hockey.
