
Jones named Appalachian League Player of the Week

DANVILLE â Brandon Jones has been named the Appalachian League Player of the Week for the week ending August 1.
Jones hit a scorching .419 during the week, raising his average from .244 on the season to its current mark of .286. Included among the outfielder's 13 hits were two doubles, a triple, a home run and six RBI.
This is the second consecutive week a member of the Braves' outfield has been honored by the league. Carl Loadenthal was named Player of the Week last week.
