
Jones Joins ECHL's Ghost Pirates

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Wednesday that 2002-born forward Jett Jones has signed with the ECHL's Savannah Ghost Pirates.
Jones, 20, was originally undrafted in the Western Hockey League Prospects Draft while being signed by the Hurricanes in 2018. He appeared in 222 career regular season games with the 'Canes over parts of five seasons amassing 121 points (54g-67a) along with 122 penalty minutes. Jones set career highs during the 2022-2023 season with 21 goals and 50 points in 67 games finishing second in team scoring. Jones was a two-time 20-goal scorer during his time with the Hurricanes. The 6'3, 207-pound forward also served as co-captain for the 'Canes for the past two seasons.
The Olds, AB, product added three points (1g-2a) in eight career post-season games, including one goal and two penalty minutes in four games during the 2023 WHL Playoffs. Jones was named a three-time Fan Favourite Award winner (2019- 20, 2021-22, 2022-23) becoming just the fourth player in team history to win the award on three-or-more occasions. He was also named the 2022 co-winner of the Hurricanes Hardest Working Player while being named the recipient of the 2022- 2023 Harry Ingarfield Memorial Award as the 'Canes Most Valuable Player.
Jones has joined the Savanah Ghost Riders for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.
