Bakersfield Blitz News Release
The Blitz will celebrate their upcoming playoff drive with a Playoff Kickoff Barbeque TOFAY from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Centennial Garden Plaza. Individual playoff tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. that day for the team's second round playoff game on Saturday, August 14th. The lunchtime event will be held in front of Centennial Garden on the Plaza. Tailgaters will provide lunch, consisting of tri tip or chicken sandwiches, Frito Lay chips and a Pepsi product all for $5. In addition, Blitz players and coaches will be in attendance to meet with fans and sign autographs. Crusher, the Blitz mascot, will also make an appearance and the Blitz Football Toss game and Condors Slapshot game will be set up as well to entertain kids of all ages.
