Spokane Chief forwards Tyler Johnson and Mitch Wahl are part of the United States top 43 players under the age of 20 that will participate in the 2009 National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, NY beginning this Friday.
The players will be auditioning for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team for the second year in a row. Both played for the U.S. last year in their fifth place finish at the World Junior Hockey Championships. The 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship will take place from Dec. 26, 2009-Jan. 5, 2010, in Saskatoon and Regina, Sask.
The camp will feature practices, intrasquad scrimmages and four international games featuring the U.S. facing off against Russia.
