
John Mora Named SAL Player of the Week

Savannah, GA - The South Atlantic League office announced today that Outfielder John Mora has been named Player of the Week for the week of July 20-26. Mora is the third different Sand Gnat to be named POTW this season.
Mora, 22, appeared in six games during the week and registered at-least one hit in each game. The native of San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic had a .522 batting average (12-for-23) with four doubles, a triple, a home run, and eight RBI. Along with his six-game hitting streak, the outfielder has also reached base safely in nine straight games since July 17th.
RHP Scarlyn Reyes won SAL POTW for the week of June 15-21, Reyes and Wuilmer Becerra also swept POTW honors for the week of June 1-7.
