
Joel Bender Returns to Dayton

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Cincinnati Reds have announced that LHP Joel Bender has been transferred back to Single-A Dayton. Bender worked 4.0 innings and allowed just 2 R/ER on three hits before having to exit with a blister. No corresponding move has been made at this time.
Bender has been used in a long relief and spot start role this year with the Dayton Dragons. In 43 appearances this season with the Dragons, he amassed a record of 6-3 with a pair of saves and a 4.67 ERA. He has 67 strikeouts over 61.2 innings with just 20.
