The Oshawa Generals are looking for an experienced RC Pilot for home games for the 2018/19 season. The position is part-time, seasonal to the hockey season located at the Tribute Communities Centre. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager of Game Presentation.
Description of Organization:
The Oshawa Generals Hockey Club is a member of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Canadian Hockey League. Established in 1937, the Oshawa Generals are an integral part of the Oshawa and Durham Region Community.
The positive development of hockey players both on and off the ice is our focus, giving the players outstanding facilities and coaches to master their craft while being key members of a community. A winning attitude runs deep within the Generals organization having won 13 OHL Championships and 5 Memorial Cups.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Game Day Coordinator, responsibilities include:
- Represent the Oshawa Generals at home games as the blimp pilot
- Flying during pre-game and intermissions
- Blimp maintenance prior to flying
- Attend all Oshawa Generals home games Sept-April
- Show high level of professionalism while at the workplace
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience as RC pilot
- Proven basic and sport piloting skills are a must
- Proven experience in building and maintaining radio control aircrafts
- Demonstrated interests in radio control aircrafts
- Great attention to details and willingness to learn
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
