Job Fair Scheduled for Next Thursday, February 18

SPRINGDALE, Ark - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will be holding their 9th Annual Job Fair next week on Thursday, February 18th from 5:30pm until 7pm in the Sam's Club Community Room at Arvest Ballpark.

The Naturals will be taking applications and conducting on-site interviews for part-time, Game Day associates who, if selected, will be instrumental in assisting the Naturals' front office in continuing the tradition of affordable, fan-friendly entertainment while providing top-notch customer service to every fan that visits Arvest Ballpark during the year. Applicants will enter through the glass doors on the south side of the ballpark, located next to our batting cage facilities, and fill out applications before proceeding upstairs to the Sam's Club Community Room.

On February 18th, the organization will only be interviewing for the following positions:

Usher - act as the fan's host or hostess during the game. Assist each fan in your section and answer any questions or concerns to enhance their overall experience at Arvest Ballpark.

Kids Zone Attendant - operate/oversee the inflatables, playground, and wiffle ball field in the Kansas City Royals Kids Zone.

Retail Associate - requires great customer service skills, ability to complete sales, and maintain inventory accurately.

Ticket Seller - responsible for selling tickets and working in the box office as well as assisting with fan issues that should arise at the ticket windows during game-days.

Ticket Scanner - responsible for greeting fans, checking bags, as well as scanning of each ticket for admittance.

Program Seller - engaging, personable individual with great character who will enthusiastically vend programs near the main gate at Arvest Ballpark as fans enter the facility.

Parking Lot Attendant - As our parking lot attendants you will be the first impression of everyone that visits the ballpark. Each attendant will be assigned to a gate, also assist customers entering and exiting the parking lot. Assisting with traffic flow and fireworks street closings. Requirements: money handling experience a must, good customer service skills, being on your feet for long periods of time.

Grounds Crew - Duties include infield maintenance, edging/plate repair, batting practice set-up/tear-down, and pre- and post-game maintenance. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Mascot - engaging, enthusiastic individual that will act out the character of the Naturals mascots "Strike" and "Sinker". Perform at all (or majority of) home games at Arvest Ballpark and some community appearances.

Concessions/Catering (Patina Restaurant Group) - cashiers, runners, suite staff and support staff to make sure all areas of the food and beverage department are running efficiently. Customer satisfaction is a top priority.

Kitchen cooks/staff (Patina Restaurant Group) - will handle many kitchen appliances and tools while maintaining a pace to handle suite level catering and concourse food service needs. Individuals with some cooking experience in a restaurant-type environment are normally the most successful applicants. Kitchen Crew responsibilities include food preparation, cooking and cleaning.

The Naturals also invite people that are interested to stop at our Administrative Offices located at Arvest Ballpark in advance of the job fair next week to fill out an application and conduct an on-site interview. All interviews at the Job Fair on Thursday, February 18th will be conducted on-site with a Naturals representative. Patina Restaurant Group, the Arvest Ballpark concessionaire, will also be on hand at the Job Fair to interview prospective part-time, game day associates for the upcoming season. Those interested are encouraged to interview for positions with both the Naturals and Patina Restaurant Group to increase potential for hire.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will return to action on Thursday, April 7 of 2016 when they host the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to begin Season Nine of Naturals Baseball.
