FRISCO, TEXAS (JULY 9, 2014) - The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, announced the promotion of left-handed pitcher Jimmy Reyes to Triple-A Round Rock. Reyes becomes the ninth RoughRider this season to receive a Triple-A call-up.

The Rangers initially assigned the 25-year-old to the Round Rock roster out of spring training, but the RoughRiders received the reliever before the regular season began on April 3. Reyes will make his Triple-A debut after pitching in 27 games for the RoughRiders. He posted a 3-2 record with a 5.34 ERA over 30 1/3 innings with 30 strikeouts and 13 walks. In his final appearance with the 'Riders, Reyes struck out five batters over two innings and allowed one base hit. Texas selected the native of Miami in the seventh round of the 2010 draft out of Elon University (North Carolina).

With the transactions today, Frisco's roster drops to 24 players, one below the Texas League limit.

The RoughRiders open a four-game home stand tonight against the Corpus Christi Hooks at 7:05 p.m. For tickets and information on how to see the RoughRiders in 2014, please call (972) 731-9200, e-mail Info@RidersBaseball.com or visit www.RidersBaseball.com.
