Jets Recall Postma from IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have recalled defenceman Paul Postma from the St. John's IceCaps.

Postma, 22, has played in 30 games with the IceCaps this season racking up 27 points (6g, 21a) and 16 penalty minutes. The Red Deer, AB native currently sits tied atop the IceCaps leaderboard, with centre Marco Rosa, as well as leading his club's defensive group in scoring. Postma is presently ranked third in scoring amongst AHL defencemen. So far this season, Postma has appeared in three games with the Winnipeg Jets.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 205th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
