Jets Recall Machacek from IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have recalled forward Spencer Machacek from the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Machacek, 23, has played in 58 games with the IceCaps so far this season. In that time, the Lethbridge, AB native has recorded 48 points (17G, 31a) and 48 penalty minutes. He leads his team in points (48), plus/minus (+11), and shots on goal (153). Machacek is also tied for first on the IceCaps in assists (31). The right-handed winger has played in two games with the Winnipeg Jets this season.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the third round, 67th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
