
Aeros defeat Abbotsford Heat 1-0 in a shootout

HOUSTON --- Joe Fallon made 32 saves in regulation and stopped all six shots in the shootout, and David McIntyre had the lone shootout goal as the Houston Aeros defeated the Abbotsford Heat 1-0 in a shootout Saturday at Toyota Center.
For Houston, the shootout win was its first ever 1-0 shootout win and improves the Aeros to 31-20-3-9.
Houston has won three straight and four of their last five games to jump into lone possession of fourth place in the Western Conference with 74 points.
Fallon posted the third shutout of his AHL career and first since April 11, 2011 as a member of the San Antonio Rampage. He recorded the first shootout win of his career.
McIntyre had the lone shootout goal for the Aeros in the sixth round of the shootout.
Danny Taylor made 21 saves for Abbotsford and stopped five of six shots in the shootout.
The Aeros finish their six-game homestand Sunday against the Oklahoma City Barons at 5:05 p.m. at Toyota Center.
