Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

(Fargo, ND) - The Fargo-Moorhead Jets played solid game but couldn't get the puck in the back of the net and fall to Bismarck 3-0.

In a game where the offensive play was up and rising for the Jets they were unable to find the back of the nylon. Both teams traded penalty kills and the Jets out shot Bismarck 14-8. Elliot Okland (Fargo, ND) made great saves and came to the rescue in times of need but it remained scoreless after one period of play.

With the Bobcats in the box to open the second the Jets tried to use a power-play to jump start the offense that has been hard to come by. Derek Kohles put away a rebound from Okland on the man of advantage making 1-0 just 2:24 into the second frame. Andrew Muir (Hallock, MN) rolled the puck in short-handed but was denied at the door step by Jake Kremer and that seemed to be the final straw for the Jets offense. The Bobcats would end the period on top 2-0.

Elliot Okland would keep the Jets in the game as the offense continued to bring shot after shot on Kremer and come up empty goaled. The goal would be pulled late in the third with less that 2:10 remaining and a 6-5 turned into a 6-4 after a Bismarck penalty but nothing good would come of it. The Jets ended up on the up swing of the shot chart 36-27 and another loss 3-0.

The Jets will be on the air at 7:10pm with "Open Skate" the official pre-game show on fmjets.com and 103.9 The Truck. This will be the final of six games in the month of November with North Iowa for the Jets.
