
Jensen Leads Missions Offense to 7-4 Win

CORPUS CHRISTI--Chase Jensen drove in four runs with his first two hits in Double-A and the Missions snapped their second six-game skid of the season Sunday afternoon at Whataburger Field.
The Missions clubbed a season-high three homeruns, including one from Jensen, who was 0-18 with the club heading into his fourth inning at-bat. Jensen's two-run shot to left field broke a 2-2 tie.
Gabriel Quintana and Nick Torres also homered for San Antonio.
The Missions entered play having hit .164 with 11 runs in their five previous contests. They finished with nine hits.
Fabio Castillo worked 5.1 innings to improve his record to 3-4. Jason Jester recorded a five-out save, his fourth of the season.
San Antonio scored five two-out runs in winning for just the fourth time in 16 road games.
NOTES: The Missions (10-20) avoided the worst 30-game start for the club since the 1989 squad opened 9-21...San Antonio struck out 10 more times Sunday, running their total to 61 over the last six games...The Hooks hit a pair of solo homeruns. Sunday was just the third time in 19 games that the Missions won when allowing a homer. It was also only the fourth win in 19 games when getting out-hit.
