Jenner and Lessio Named to Canada\'s Under 18 Team

Oshawa Generals Forwards Boone Jenner and Lucas Lessio have been selected to represent Canada's Under 18 Team at the 2010 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament which will take place August 9th through 14th in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The pair was among 13 OHL players to make the 22-man roster at the tournament following a four day selection camp that was held in Calgary.

Canada will take on the Czech Republic in an exhibition match before opening the tournament against Sweden on August 9th. They will also play games against Switzerland and Slovakia in the round robin.

Jenner, is coming off a strong OHL rookie campaign where he scored 19 goals and 49 points in 65 games for the Generals. He was runner-up for the Emms Family Award for OHL Rookie of the Year.

Last season, Lessio played for the St. Michael's Buzzers in the CCHL where he scored 30 goals and 72 points in 41 games. He was acquired in a trade by the Generals in September 2009 from the Niagara IceDogs. He will make his Generals debut this coming September after signing with the team last week.

Both Jenner and Lessio participated on Ontario's Silver Medal winning Team at the World Under-17 Challenge this past January in Timmins, Ontario.
