
Jeff Desjardins Named Bisons Athletic Trainer

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that Jeff Desjardins will serve as the team's athletic trainer for the 2007 season.
Desjardins, 33, has spent the last two seasons as the athletic trainer with the Double-A Akron Aeros. In 2006, he was named the Eastern League's Athletic Trainer of the Year. He joined the Cleveland Indians organization in 2001 and spent his first two seasons with Rookie Burlington of the Appalachian League. He was promoted to Single-A Lake County of the South Atlantic League in 2003 and then Single-A Kinston of the Carolina League in 2004.
Prior to joining the Indians, Desjardins was the athletic trainer at Dover High School in Dover, New Hampshire from 1996-2001.
Desjardins is a certified athletic trainer and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He graduated from Plymouth State College in Plymouth, New Hampshire in 1995 and currently resides in Gorham, Maine.
