Jays/Mets Game Postponed Due to Field Conditions
June 30, 2009 - Florida State League (FSL1)
Dunedin Blue Jays News Release
Jays/Mets game postponed due to field conditions Game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday
Due to bad field conditions thanks to rainstorms on Tuesday, the second game of the four game series between the Dunedin Blue Jays and the St. Lucie Mets has been postponed.
Two major storms swept through Dunedin, with one occuring earlier in the day and a second one occurring at around 5 p.m. that lasted for just over an hour, not allowing the field to dry up in time for the scheduled first pitch of 7 p.m.
As a result, tomorrow will see the two teams face off in a doubleheader with the first game set for 5 p.m. The second game will follow a half hour after the end of the first game, and both games are scheduled to go seven innings.
Tomorrow's Web Wednesday promotion will take place during both contests, and the coupon for the offer can be printed out by viewing the article on the Dunedin Blue Jays website.
