Jaxx Make More Roster Moves

PEARL, MS. (May 19, 2010) - The Seattle Mariners announced the following roster moves that effects the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx roster. Diamond Jaxx starter, Dan Cortes was removed after two innings in his start on Monday with shoulder tightness and has been placed on the 7-Day DL. Cortes had a four game winning streak leading into his last start and is 4-1 with a 4.82 ERA. Cortes has logged 37.1 innings for the Jaxx in eight starts. RHP Jake Wild has been promoted from High Desert (High-A) to take Cortes' spot on the roster. Wild was 4-0 for the Mav's with a 3.55 ERA in eight starts. He was a 26th round selection by the Mariners in the 2007 draft. Wild was 5th among Mariners farmhands in 2009 with 116 for High Desert. He is 25 years old and a native of Kingsburg, CA.

The roster moves are made prior to tonight's game against the Mississippi Braves. The Jaxx have won the first three out of four games against the Braves.
