PEARL, MS. (May 19, 2010) - The Diamond Jaxx (21-18) drop their second consecutive one-run affair on Wednesday night to the M-Braves (20-20) at Trustmark Park, 6-5. Juan Gonzales singled in Mauro Gomez in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Braves. The Jaxx held leads of 3-0 and 4-2, but surrendered four runs in the final three innings. Even though the Braves take the finale, the Jaxx win the series 3-2. The loss sends the Jaxx to 5-4 in one-run games.
Mauricio Robles worked 5 2/3 innings for the D-Jaxx in a no decision Wednesday, giving up just two runs on four hits. Taking the loss for the Jaxx was Wes Littleton (1-2) after surrendering the game winning run in the ninth. Lee Hyde (2-1) earns the win for Mississippi.

After a scoreless second and third frame, the Jaxx got a two out RBI double from Joe Dunigan scoring Jose Yepez. The Jaxx extended their lead to 4-2 over the M-Braves.
After the Jaxx missed scoring opportunities in the fifth and sixth, the M-Braves tied the score at 4-4 in the seventh inning. Randy Gress blasted a solo homer to make it a one-run game, then an RBI single by Willie Cabrera tied it at four.
The Braves took their first lead of the game in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Juan Gonzales. The Jaxx did tie it up on a Carlos Triunfel single that brought in Carlos Peguero in the top of the ninth.
With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth it was once again Juan Gonzales that singled home the winning run. Mauro Gomez came across to score the winning run for the Braves.
