Janesville Jets News Release
Last Friday and Saturday nights at the Janesville Ice Arena, in the first round of the 2012 North American Hockey League (NAHL) Midwest Division playoffs, the Janesville Jets split victories with the Springfield Jr. Blues.
The Jets lost Friday night 2 - 0. But the team rebounded very nicely on Saturday night, beating Springfield 7 - 4. The Jets were down 3 - 1, but came back with a vengeance and scored 6 goals in a row. On Saturday night, the Jets out-shot Springfield 48 to 17.
The playoff series is best 3 out of 5 games. The Jets will play in Springfield this Friday and Saturday nights. Both of those games start at 7 PM. Fans can watch these games streamed over the Internet at http://nahl.fasthockey.com and can get scoreboard updates at the Jets website, www.janesvillejets.com.
If a Game 5 is necessary, it will be held back at the Janesville Ice Arena (821 Beloit Avenue) on Sunday, April 15th, starting at 5 PM with doors opening at 3:45 PM. We will not know about a possible Game 5 until the end of Saturday night's game. The Jets will issue a media alert after Saturday's game.
*Please note that if there is a Game 5 this Sunday in Janesville, the Jets organization will offer very special discounted ticket pricing of only $5 per ticket.
*Attendees will be able to buy tickets at the arena starting at 3:45 PM Sunday if the final game of the series is required.
