
Janesville Jets Players Arrive Sunday

The initial 2011-12 season Janesville Jets players will be arriving into town this Sunday, August 21, to get ready for training camp and the upcoming season. 27 players will be at the double session practices that start on Monday, August 22 at the Janesville Ice Arena.
Thirteen players are returning from last year's Jets squad. The Jets have added size this year with three new players that are 6'3" and one player that is 6'7".
The Jets also announce an exhibition game on Friday, September 9th, starting at 7 PM at the Janesville Ice Arena, versus the Twin Cities Northern Lights. All tickets for this exhibition game are only $5. The Twin Cities Northern Lights are a Tier 3 Junior A team playing in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League.
Last year's head coach of the Northern Lights, Jason Dobes, is now the new Janesville Jets Assistant Coach. The Jets welcome Jason to the organization and to Rock County, WI. Jason, originally from Waterloo, Iowa, was an assistant coach for the Waterloo Black Hawks in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for three seasons before his stint with the Twin Cities Northern Lights.
Tha Janesville Jets play in the NAHL Showcase Tournament at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota, from September 14 - 17. The Jets first regular season home NAHL game in Janesville is on Friday September 23 versus the Springfiled Jr. Blues at 7 pm.
