Jammers announce mentor program

Detroit, MI. Byron "Skip" Willis, GM of the ABA Motown Jammers professional basketball team today announced the formation of the Motown Jammers "Boys to Men" mentor program at local area schools. According to Willis, the goal of the program is to help students in areas of academic achievement, conflict resolution and leadership skills.

To debut the program, players Willie Burton, Jimmy King, Myron Brown and Bryan Woodland visited Berry Elementary School in Detroit yesterday. They met with their first group of students, all of them eager to begin this exciting and rewarding program.

The Motown Jammers begin play this weekend with two games against the Kentucky Colonels, Saturday, Nov 20 at 7PM and Sunday afternoon Nov 21 at 2PM. The Jammers are pleased to be playing all of their games at the University of Michigan Dearborn Fieldhouse in Dearborn, Michigan.
