The Jacksonville Jam (22-7) defeated the Palm Beach Imperials (10-15) with an impressive 126-109 victory on their homecourt at UNF Arena on Friday night.
The Jam controlled the action throughout the game and only a short lapse in the second quarter of play did the Jam fall behind the Imperials. The Jam came out in the first five minutes of the second to extend its lead to 16 points, before a Palm Beach run cut the score to 6 points at the 10 minutes mark of the fourth quarter. An 8 point run once again put the Jam back up by double figures, and the Jam went on to lead by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter.
Jacksonville was led by forward, Jerry Williams, who had his best game of the season with a 34 point and 10 rebound effort. Power forward, DeRon Rutledge recorded another double/double with an impressive outing with 29 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Lumpkin put in 15 points and dished out 8 assist.
