Atlanta Vision Win over Mississippi in Overtime

SUWANEE, GA - Atlanta Vision, Atlanta's professional basketball team in Gwinnett, responded to Friday night's 114 to 109 loss to the veteran Mississippi Miracles with an overtime win on Saturday.

Atlanta Vision started out strong in the 1st quarter leading the Miracles, 31 to 28. Mississippi came back outscoring the Vision 27 to 19 to end the half with a lead of 50 to 55. The Miracles continued their run in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 92 to 79. Vision rallied back from a 15 point deficit in the third quarter dominating the boards with 61 total team rebounds to tie the end of regulation game at 112.

With the score at 116 to 118, Vision's Adrien Border hit the game ending ABA 3-D shot with three seconds left on the clock to end with a win, 119 to 118.

Key contributors for the Vision were Jarman Sample, Robert "50" Martin, and Kevin Harrington who all had double-doubles. David Haywood had an impressive 32 points for the Mississippi Miracles.

"It was a hard fought win against a top-ranked team," stated Vision Owner Quentin Townsend, "We've won six of our last eight games and look to continue our momentum."

Vision travel on the road to Mississippi on Monday and return Wednesday for a community event at Sharon Elementary. Vision will host the Tennessee Mudfrogs next Sunday, February 25th at a special tip-off time of 6:30pm at Suwanee Sports Academy.
