Bakersfield Jam News Release
BAKERSFIELD, November 21, 2012 - Earlier this morning, the Bakersfield Jam coaching staff, front office personnel and players volunteered at Standard Middle School to help pack Thanksgiving boxes for needy families.
Before heading out on the road for the upcoming season on Friday, players and coaches took a break from preparation to help children and families from the Oildale community have an early Thanksgiving meal. "It's always a great feeling when we can give back to the community," said Head Coach Will Voigt.
The Bakersfield Jam open the 2012-13 regular season on the road against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers this Friday November 23 at 5:00 p.m. PT. The Jam home opener comes a week later on Thursday, November 29 when they host the Idaho Stampede at 7:00 p.m. PT.
