BAKERSFIELD, December 4, 2011 - The Bakersfield Jam have claimed guard Anthony Gurley from the available player pool and reactivated point guard Anthony Harris from the injured list, the team announced today. Justin Graham has been waived due to injury.

Gurley was drafted by Los Angeles in the 2nd round of the 2011 NBA Development League Draft and attended the D-Fenders training camp. He worked out for the Boston Celtics in June, 2011 and participated in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, averaging 7.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 7 games. Transferring from Wake Forest, Gurley played three seasons at Massachusetts, averaging 18.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 30 games his final year.

Harris was acquired by Bakersfield from the available player pool after the GATORADE Call-up of Trey Johnson to the Los Angeles Lakers in April, 2011. He split the 2010-11 NBA D-League season between the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Utah Flash, averaging 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists on the year. Prior to joining the Jam, Harris played overseas in Cyprus and Hungary. He played college basketball for Miami, averaging 10.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 32 games his senior season.

The current roster now stands at 12 players. NBA D-League teams are permitted to carry a maximum of 12 players until one week after the commencement of NBA training camps, at which point they will be required to return to no more than 10 NBA D-League players.
