
Jacksonville shuts out BayBears

MOBILE, AL- The BayBears were shut out for the second time in their current series against Jacksonville, losing to the Suns 4-0. Joel Hanrahan (3-2) picked up the win after throwing six shutout innings, allowing just four hits. Alvis Ojeda picked up his first save of the season, pitching three shutout innings to close the game. The BayBears have lost three of four in this series, and have not yet won a series in 2006.
Mobile?s Jose Oyervidez (1-4) pitched 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and took the loss. The BayBears bullpen was strong, with Bubba Nelson and Geoff Jones combining to throw 4.2 scoreless innings. Brett Bonvechio was 2-for-3 in the loss for Mobile.
Tuesday?s series-ending game at Hank Aaron Stadium begins at 11:35 AM. Roger Deago (4-2) will get the start for Mobile against Jacksonville?s Spike Lundberg (4-1). All BayBears games can be heard on 1480 AM WABB, Comcast Cable Channel 18, and on the internet via mobilebaybears.com.
