JACKSONVILLE - Defensive Lineman Damien Jacobs (6'3",300) signed with the Jacksonville Sharks for his third season of arena football. In 2018 with the Sharks, Jacobs played in 16 games and recorded 15.5 tackles, five sacks, two interceptions, one pass breakups, one forced fumble, four recovered fumbles, one blocked kick, and one safety. Coming off his best season of arena football career Jacobs earned Second Team All-NAL Honors and the NAL Award for Most Improved Player. Beginning his career in 2017, Jacobs signed with the Sharks for training camp under head coach Mark Stoute, Jacobs was released during training camp and then signed with the Georgia Firebirds. After a stint with the Firebirds, the Sharks re-signed him under Head Coach Siaha Burley. In the 2017 season, he recorded 14 total tackles, four sacks, one interception, two fumbles recovered, and two safeties.

Jacobs started his college career at East Mississippi Community College, which was featured on the Netflix series "Last Chance U". In his time with EMCC, Jacobs made 47 tackles, two sacks, and recovered two fumbles. Jacobs then transferred to the University of Florida and recording 34 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one interception as a Gator.

Jacobs is a native of Gibson, LA and attended high school at H.L. Bougeois High School and ranked 75th overall in the nation for defensive linemen and ranked third in the state of Louisiana.
