YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Muskegon Lumberjacks rattled off four unanswered goals after trailing 2-to-0 to split the weekend series and take game two over the Youngstown Phantoms by a final score of 4-to-2 on Saturday, Feb. 19 from the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio. Ben Strinden knocked home a pair of goals with other Muskegon lamplighters coming from Quinn Hutson and Phil Tresca. With the victory, the Jacks improve to 24-13-3-3 and 54 standings points in the Eastern Conference.

1st Period

The Phantoms appeared to continue their momentum from the previous night with a goal from Shane LaChance just 4:36 into the first period. LaChance's sixth goal of the season was assisted by Grant Porter and Nick Williams to give Youngstown the 1-to-0 lead.

Grant Porter padded the Youngstown lead to 2-to-0 at 13:11 of the first period with his fifth of the season. Shane LaChance, having already scored the first goal of the game, added the lone assist.

After one period of action, the Phantoms took a 2-to-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

2nd Period

Muskegon's first goal of the game wouldn't come until 13:01 of the second period, courtesy of Quinn Hutson to make it a 2-to-1 game. Hutson's 24th goal of the season was assisted by Jake Richard.

After 40 minutes of action, the Lumberjacks trailed 2-to-1 to Youngstown heading into the third period.

3rd Period

Just 44 seconds into the third period, Lumberjacks alternate captain Ben Strinden redirected a shot from teammate Quinn Hutson to tie the game 2-to-2. Hutson was credited with the lone assist on Strinden's 20th goal of the season.

At 11:07 of the third period, Ben Strinden would collect his second goal of the game to give Muskegon the 3-to-2 lead. Strinden's 21st goal of the season was assisted by Quinn Hutson and Jake Richard.

With the Youngstown net empty, Muskegon's Phil Tresca took full advantage of that situation and pumped a puck into the empty cage to give the Lumberjacks the 4-to-2 lead. Tresca's 23rd goal of the season was assisted by Owen Mehlenbacher.

In the end, the Lumberjacks came back from two goals down and scored four unanswered to split the weekend series by a final score of 4-to-2.
