Jacks Home Opener and Conference Alignment Announced

Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the new conference alignment for the upcoming 2010-11 season along with the first scheduled home game for the Odessa Jackalopes.
The Jackalopes will play their first home game on Thursday, October 28th at the Ector County Coliseum after starting the first two weeks of the season on the road. Game time is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
The 18 participating teams for this season have been split into two conferences of nine teams.
One conference will consist of the Bloomington PrairieThunder, Colorado Eagles, Dayton Gems, Evansville Icemen, Fort Wayne Komets, Missouri Mavericks, Quad City Mallards, Rapid City Rush, and Wichita Thunder.
The Jackalopes will play in the other Conference along with the Allen Americans, Arizona Sundogs, Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, Laredo Bucks, Mississippi RiverKings, Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, Texas Brahmas, and Tulsa Oilers.
The names of each conference have not yet been determined, but each will have a historical reference for the CHL and International Hockey League.

The 2010-11 season is set to begin on October 15th and run through the end of March
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
