
Jacks Fall 7-0 In Front Of Season's Largest Crowd

ODESSA, TX - In the final meeting between the two teams this season, the Odessa Jackalopes fell 7-0 to the Amarillo Bulls on Saturday at Ector County Coliseum. With the loss, the Jacks' tenth in a row and 21st straight regular-season defeat at the hands of Amarillo, Odessa fell to 6-40-3 overall this season and with 15 points, remain alone in sixth place in the NAHL's South Division standings.
After Blake Roubos scored the only goal of the first period to stake Amarillo to a 1-0 lead, a trifecta of second period Bulls goals, from Brady Ferguson, Tyler Deresky and Clint Carlisle respectively, made it 4-0 'Rillo entering the third. In the final stanza of regulation, Roubos' second, followed by a pair of tallies from Gage Christianson and Mike Davis, set the final margin at 7-0 Amarillo.
Cottage Grove, Minnesota native Erick Majerle turned in a stout performance in net, as the 6'6" netminder turned aside 35 Bulls shots in his first career appearance vs. Amarillo.
Next up for the Jacks, it's a pair of home games vs. the defending Robertson Cup champion Texas Tornado, March 8th and 9th at Ector COUnty Coliseum.
