JOLIET, IL - The Joliet JackHammers have announced the hiring of Jamie Toole as Vice President of Business Development for the club effective immediately.
Toole, 30, has worked in professional baseball for 10 years. Jamie began his career with the Capital City Bombers, a New York Mets affiliate in 1999. He joined the staff of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans for the 2000 and 2001 season serving as Director of Stadium Operations. Jamie worked for the JackHammers during the months leading up to and through the 2002 Inaugural season of JackHammer baseball. Following the 2002 season, Jamie accepted a position within the baseball operations department of MLB's Pittsburgh Pirates. Jamie has since held the position of Vice President for both the Salem Avalanche of the Carolina League and the River City Rascals of the Frontier League.
"We are pleased to add Jamie back to the JackHammers organization," said JackHammers Chairman Pete Ferro. "We feel like Jamie will bring some fresh ideas to help us not only finish strong in 2009 but also establish ourselves as the area's number one source of family entertainment for the 2010 season and beyond."

Toole returns to Joliet with his wife Katie, and their three children Grace (6), Jackson (5), and Maggie (1).
