Augusta, Ga.- Augusta used two big offensive innings to pound Delmarva 8-2 in the finale of the four game series, scoring three runs in the first and five runs in the fifth off the Shorebirds starter Tim Bascom.

The 'Jackets were led offensively by Brett Pill and Mike McByrde who both had a base hit and drove in two runs apiece. Ryan Rohlinger had two hits for Augusta.

'Jackets starter Steven Calicutt was strong through six innings allowing four hits and only one run while striking out three. He picked up his fourth win of the season.

Danny Figueroa had his third consecutive two hit night, scored a run and stole his team leading 29th base of the season. Three of the five Delmarva hits were doubles (Todd Davison, Brandon Snyder and Miguel Abreu) and the 'Birds left 10 runners on base.

Delmarva travels home to face the Lexington Legends on Friday and will send Wilfrido Perez ( 5-3, 2.08 ERA) to the mound against Doug Arguello (6-9, 4.79 ERA)First pitch is set for 7:05 at Perdue Stadium.
