Jackals Sweep NEL Awards

The New Jersey Jackals swept the first Daktronics Northeast League Player of the Week honors awarded by league statistician SportsTicker Boston on Monday. The period started at the beginning of the year and ended Sunday.

Bailey went 17-for-36 (.472) in nine games to start the season. He scored 14 runs, hit four doubles, three triples, four homers and batted in nine runs. Bailey stole three bases, recorded a 1.083 slugging percentage and notched a .525 on-base percentage.

Crowther started two games and won them both. He allowed no runs in 12 innings, gave up four hits, walked one and struck out 13 hitters.
