New Jersey Jackals News Release

Sometimes, everything clicks...

On a cool Monday evening in Worcester Massachusetts, the Jackals slugged their way to a season-high 18 runs and 21 hits to top the Tornadoes 18-5. It's their eighth straight win against Worcester.

Nick Giarraputo's grand slam in the seventh inning capped off a season-best nine-run frame. Coupled with his eighth-inning two-run double, Giarraputo was 3-6 with six RBIs - a season high.

Craig Clark threw arguably his best outing of the season. Clark allowed just two runs in six innings. His one walk and five strikeouts helped him to the win, moving him to 5-5 this season.

Worcester rookie righty Connor Hulse allowed 12 hits and gave up six runs. He drops to 0-2 this season.

Angel Berroa was 4-4 with three walks, reaching base in all seven plate appearances today.

Nick Salotti was 4-6 against his former team and is now 15-29 against the Tornadoes this season.

The 18 runs are the most the Jackals have scored since July 3rd, 2011 against the New York Federals. That day, James Leverton got the win in one of the largest shutouts in Jackals history.
