
Jackals Salvage Series with 7-6 Win

New Jersey plated four runs in the top of the seventh inning to erase a 6-3 deficit and would go on to beat Ottawa by the score of 7-6.
The Jackals had 12 hits in the game and was led by 2B Nelson Ward who went a perfect 5-for-5 at the dish with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. New Jersey 3B Gregg Veneklasen had a pair of hits in five at-bats and four RBIs while CF Jay Gonzalez collected an RBI and went 2-for-4.
Jackals pitcher Will Landsheft tossed 4 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the victory. The Bixby, OK resident gave up three walks and four hits to go along with six strikeouts. With the win, Landsheft is now 1-0 on the season.
For Ottawa in the losing effort, 3B Jordan Caillouet had a 2-for-3 night with a run scored and two RBIs.
