Jackals, MDA Team Up For Annual Spaghetti On Ice Event

The Elmira Jackals will hang up their skates to become waiters on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 6:05 p.m. at First Arena as they once again team up with Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) for the Fourth Annual Spaghetti on Ice event. The press conference scheduled for today to announce the event has been cancelled due to the weather.

The Jackals will be special guest waiters for the event as they bring spaghetti meals to your table. Each player will be competing for the most tips, which will be donated to the MDA. The players can be tipped for providing eating utensils, drinks, salad, spaghetti, or autographs.

All ticket holders attending the event will take home a special 2010 Elmira Jackals Spaghetti on Ice puck. Special Jackals 2010 Spaghetti on Ice t-shirts will be on sale throughout the event. There will be a live auction of commemorative Elmira Jackals Spaghetti on Ice Jerseys, which will be worn at the event and signed by the player who wore the jersey.

The cost of a ticket is $12, with four packs available for $40. Children age five and under are admitted free of charge. Tickets can be be purchased at the First Arena Box Office, the Holiday Inn-Riverview and the Holiday Inn Express-Horseheads as well as by calling the MDA office at 607-797-3463. MDA will also be selling tickets at upcoming Elmira Jackals home games.

MDA helps children and adults who are affected by any of the over 40 neuromusuclar diseases coverered by MDA's comprehensive medical services and research programs. MDA receives no government funding and charges no fees to those served by the association.
