ELMIRA, NY - August 7, 2015 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that the club has signed forward Chris Langkow to a Standard Player Contract for the 2015-16 season.
Langkow, 25, joins Elmira after he amassed 36 points (13 goals, 23 assists) in 133 games over the previous two seasons with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. The 6-foot-1 185-pound forward joined Bridgeport during the 2013-14 season on loan from the South Carolina Stingrays after logging nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 11 games to open the campaign. During a separate AHL stint in the 2011-12 season, Langkow skated in seven games with Bridgeport and collected one goal and four assists. He also logged eight AHL games in 2010-11 with the Peoria Rivermen, notching one goal and two assists. In total, Langkow has recorded 44 points (15 goals, 29 assists) in 148 AHL games.
Langkow recorded 36 points over the past two seasons with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

In addition to his AHL experience, the Vegreville, Alberta native has appeared in 138 ECHL games between South Carolina, the Reading Royals and the Alaska Aces. Langkow set career highs with 20 goals and 41 points in 55 combined games between South Carolina and Reading during the 2012-13 season, which was his last full year in the ECHL. While playing for Alaska in 2010-11, Langkow was named the ECHL Rookie of the Month in February, earned a spot in the ECHL All-Star Game and helped the Aces capture the Kelly Cup. Over his five-year career, Langkow has registered 96 points (40 goals, 56 assists) in 138 ECHL games.
Prior to turning pro, Langkow collected 154 points (53 goals, 101 assists) in 263 WHL contests combined between the Everett Silvertips, Saskatoon Blades and the Spokane Chiefs.
