Jackals Home Opener Features Special Guest Frank Littlejohn

ELMIRA, NY - October 9, 2015 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that Jackals' alum and fan favorite Frank Littlejohn will be a special guest for Elmira's home opener next Friday, October 16 against the Adirondack Thunder.
"I had a great experience playing for both Adirondack and Elmira," said Littlejohn. "I am honored to be a part of Opening Night at First Arena for the renewal of this great rivalry."
Littlejohn will conduct the ceremonial puck drop prior to the start of the game and will be available for autographs during the first and second intermissions. There will also be a Frank Littlejohn autograph card, which will be available at the autograph table.
Tonight, the Jackals hit the ice for the first time this season in a preseason matchup against the rival Reading Royals at First Arena. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. As a part of the Jackals charity giveback campaign, $2 tickets for the preseason game are available at the box office. All proceeds will be donated back to our charity partners. Also, many local businesses have complimentary tickets available and we encourage fans with complimentary tickets to make a donation at the game.
In other Jackals news, the team announced its first reductions of the training camp roster. Nick Niedert has been released from his PTO and Matt Tassone has been released from his SPC.
